A new residential development that will house a cider cannery is on the boards for a section of DC not known for new development.
Coloma River Capital has plans in the works for a 46-unit residential development with commercial space that will include an outpost of Anxo cidery in Manor Park.
The developer will raze the existing buildings at 71 Kennedy Street NW (map) and 5505 1st Street NW, combine the two lots, and construct a four-story mixed-use building with ground floor and cellar level commercial use.
As reported by Popville last month, ANXO Cidery will open a cannery at the location that will occupy the ground floor and basement.
