330 Apartments Over Retail Proposed Adjacent to Planned Eckington Park

On Tuesday evening, Foulger-Pratt revealed a proposal to deliver a 330-unit mixed-use development next to a new park that is being planned for Eckington.
A Torti Gallas Urban-designed pentagonal building would be constructed on a 1.8-acre site at 327 S Street NE (map), delivering roughly 330 residential units above 8,500 square feet of retail and a below-grade parking level.

The NoMa Parks foundation is planning a new park adjacent to the site, which is just west of the Metropolitan Branch Trail. The development team plans to submit an application for a planned-unit development in the next few weeks; construction is anticipated to start in late 2019.
