The second part of a multi-phase residential development on Capitol Hill is coming into focus.
The Murillo Malnati Group (MMg) has filed plans with the Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) for a 33-unit project that will be located at 816 Potomac Avenue SE (map). This will be the second phase of a multi-year development that MMg has in the works. Europa, a 46-unit apartment development, is in the works next door at 818 Potomac Avenue SE.

The development on the boards at 816 Potomac Avenue SE will consist of a four-story, 14-unit addition to the west side of the 19-unit, four-story building currently on the site. Car parking is not required for the new project, but there will be bicycle parking located in the existing building. PGN Architects designed the new project.
The Historic Preservation Review Board granted concept approval to the project in April. A BZA hearing has yet to be scheduled.
