A rendering of the proposed development
The Century Center site in Crystal City is expected to get a new residential tower in the coming years, adding over 300 apartment units and retail to the site.
Lowe Enterprises Real Estate Group is proposing to construct a 22-story tower with 302 apartments above the existing two-story retail structure located at 2351 Jefferson Davis Highway (map).

The Cooper Carry-designed tower will deliver 47 studio units, 126 one-bedrooms, and 129 two-bedrooms; shared amenities will include a roof deck, gym, inner courtyard and clubroom. The building will join seven others on the site bound between 23rd and 26th Streets, Crystal Drive and Route 1 and will also share its nearly 1,500-space underground parking garage.
This month, the developer is seeking an amendment to the Crystal City Block Plan and for the site to be rezoned to allow for this construction. The Arlington County Planning Commission is expected to review the application in July.
