$26 Million: Dupont Circle Mansion Becomes DC’s Most Expensive Residence

The Patterson Mansion on Dupont Circle now has an official price. And it’s as high as expected.
On Friday, it was announced that the 36,470 square-foot, 112-year old property at 15 Dupont Circle (map) has been listed for $26 million. Rumblings that the mansion was looking for a buyer started back in March, but this is the first time a price tag has been attached to the property.
In addition to 36,740 square feet, the four-story residence has 16 bedrooms, a ballroom, library, auditorium, as well as an elevator and parking for 10 cars. The mansion was designed by architect Stanford White and has served as home to The Washington Club since 1951.
Jonathan Taylor, Christopher Ritzert, Christie Weiss of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty are listing the property. More photos below.
