A new townhouse community with a number of family-sized units on the boards for Eckington will go before the Zoning Commission on Thursday.

"The complex includes a row of 10 new three-story rowhouses, each with a basement one-car garage and a roof top terrace shaded with a solar array pergola," documents filed with DC's Zoning Commission stated. "These new rowhouses each include a two-story three-bedroom primary unit above a one-story one-bedroom secondary unit." The two existing rowhouses at the development site will be renovated to add a second condo.
The new project, designed by Powe Studio Architects, will have a total of four inclusionary zoning units for households earning a maximum of 80% of Median Family Income (“MFI”).
