21-Unit Project Coming to Hill East
Rendering of 1442 Pennsylvania Ave SE
A mixed-use project from Douglas Development is set to break ground this summer in Hill East, ANC 6B Commissioner Brian Flahaven told UrbanTurf.
Flahaven, who has previously reported on the development, located at 1442 Pennsylvania Ave SE (map), said that the current building, an old KFC, is expected to be razed in the next few weeks.
The new project will have 21 apartments, 2,600-square feet of retail space and seven parking spaces. It will be much taller than the neighboring buildings.
New projects have been sprouting up in Hill East; Lock 7 Development will be starting construction on a 10-unit condo project there this summer.
