$14 Million Foxhall Mansion, One of DC's Priciest, Finds a Buyer
One of DC's priciest homes, located in a section of the city known for large ambassadorial residences, just found a buyer.
The 11,000 square-foot house at 2425 Foxhall Road NW (map) went under contract last week at a list price of $14.25 million. Completed by Banks Development Co. in 2020, the home, designed by GTM Architects, was originally built for an American family living in London that decided not to move to DC. The home was listed with Margot Wilson of Washington Fine Properties late last year.

As expected of a home carrying this price tag, the rooms have a grand scale meant for entertaining with tall ceilings and large windows. Outdoors, there are terraced gardens and a south-facing loggia, swimming pool, and a large entertaining space. Each of the seven bedrooms is en suite and there are two large offices.
There is a great room on the lower level with a wet bar, as well as a large exercise studio. The home also has a three-car garage with a breezeway entrance to a main level mudroom and a cobblestone motor court.
The buyer, also a family, will close on the home next fall.
