In late April, we reported that home valuation and listing website Zillow.com had launched an iPhone software application. The new application used GPS technology to show real estate information for homes in a specific area. Inman is now reporting that, with over 400,000 downloads, Zillow has rolled out a new version to coincide with the iPhone’s new operating system.
Zillow’s iPhone Application
The original version of the application gave details for properties both on the market and off, so that prospective buyers could do their own comparisons. It also provided Zestimates, the site’s popular home valuation estimate function, for properties in different neighborhoods. While the original version allowed users to search for residential properties by address, neighborhood, zip code or city, the new version has a feature that allows users to also search by price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and listing type. Users can also save searches and favorite homes.
If you have an iPhone, and want to download the application (for free), visit Apple’s Application Store here.
