Whole Foods Store in Navy Yard Will Open in October

Nearly five years ago, the announcement was made that Whole Foods had signed a lease to come to Navy Yard. Next month, that store will open its doors.
Whole Foods announced on Tuesday that it will open its 35,000 square-foot store at 101 H Street SE (map) on Thursday, October 18.

Features of the new outpost will include a full service espresso bar, a second location of DC-based Kaz Sushi Bistro, and "a yet-to-be unveiled" eatery from a DC local chef.
The store will be located in The Collective, a trio of mixed-use residential buildings developed by WC Smith.
