This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looks in the $3,300 to $3,500 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in DC with this monthly budget.


Three-Bedroom Apartment Just North of U Street

This three-bedroom apartment is located just north of Florida Avenue near the U Street Corridor. In addition to two large bedrooms and a third that could be used as a bedroom or an office, the unit has a big living area with hardwood floors, large windows, and a generously-sized island in the kitchen. A one-month deposit is required for this apartment, and it won’t be available until August 1st.

A Sunny Capitol Hill Two-Bedroom For Non-Smokers and Petless

Available immediately, this two-bedroom townhouse is located on North Carolina Avenue, equidistant from the Capitol and Eastern Market. The south-facing rental has its original pine floors, an in-house washer/dryer, a fireplace in the living room and two full baths. The $3,500 a month includes all utilities, but smokers and those with dogs or cats need not apply.


Columbia Heights Three-Bedroom Duplex

The least expensive of the three properties featured here, this duplex is located on 11th Street a few blocks south of Wonderland. The listing description boasts three “real” bedrooms as well as three baths, two of which are attached to two bedrooms. The largest part of the unit is the living area (see photo above), which has hardwood floors and a wood-burning fireplace. The rental also has a small fenced-in rear patio.
