This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looked in the $2,400 to $2,500 a month range and found a variety of choices for DC renters with this monthly budget.

One-Bedroom in a Dupont Circle Basement

This one-bedroom appears to be located on the lower level of a Georgian-style row house on 19th and Swann Streets, just north of Dupont Circle. At 1,100 square-feet, the owners probably aren’t exaggerating when they call this an exceptionally large one bedroom, but like most basement apartments, this one needs a good deal of lighting to brighten it up. The unit has an updated kitchen, a redone bathroom, a fireplace and washer/dryer. Pets are not allowed, however, so dog and cat owners need not apply.

Woodley Park Two-Bedroom With Bay Windows and a Clawfoot Tub

Our next option is another apartment in a row house, though it’s not on the lower level. This Woodley Park two-bedroom has big windows, a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom and some charming details like a clawfoot tub, dark wood trim and a set of bay windows. The owners are looking for someone “responsible and professional” to rent the unit, which is two blocks from the Metro and around the corner from the Zoo. The monthly rent includes utilities.

1,200 Square-Foot Two-Bedroom Near Del Ray

The largest of the rentals featured, this two-bedroom in Alexandria is about three blocks from the King Street Metro, and not too far from Del Ray and Old Town. The photos don’t reveal too many windows, but the listing has a largish living room and has been remodeled with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and there is an in-unit washer/dryer. The unit will be available on February 1st, and the rental rate includes parking and all utilities except electricity.
