Verizon Best in DC, Study Finds

The Washington Business Journal reported that a recent study by J.D. Power & Associates found that Verizon offered the best wireless service for DC area residents.
According to the study, nine out of 100 calls were dropped on average by cell phone carriers in the DC area, however Verizon dropped just five percent of its calls on average. That statistic compares favorably to the dropped call frequency of other wireless carriers: Sprint Nextel (9 percent), T-Mobile (12 percent) and AT&T (13 percent).
The study also reported that 14 percent of cell phone users are considering changing service as a result of the problems.
An UrbanTurf article from April examined the growing importance of determining the cell phone service for a condo/home that you are planning on renting or buying. Ironically, the main person interviewed for that article, who had no phone service in his apartment, used Verizon.
