This installment of Under Contract revisits three recently-featured listings that went under contract on odd days within a week of hitting the market.

A Week a Block from Walter Reed

Going under contract in seven days, this 2,700 square-foot bungalow is on a corner lot a block from The Parks at Walter Reed. The house has a spacious wraparound porch with a ceiling fan, and inside, the living room has a white painted brick fireplace with mantel. The updated kitchen has white subway tile-walls, open wood shelving, a stainless steel hood above the stove, and a breakfast bar island with cobalt blue cabinets, matching the lower half of the butler's pantry area built into the dining room. Two bedrooms share a bath on the main level, and the lower level has a rec room with office nook, third bedroom, full bath, and laundry room. In addition to generous outdoor space, the backyard also has a bi-level patio with fire pit.

A few steps down, there are original organ pipes on the wall of the dining area, and the adjacent L-shaped kitchen has a white-painted brick backsplash and a small trapezoidal door into the pantry. Upstairs is the loft-like bedroom, off a narrow landing with room to sit, and this level also has a walk-in closet and the unit bathroom with combination washer/dryer.
