Trinidad's (Almost) $1 Million Home Sells, For Less

1228 Florida Avenue NE
On April 4th, the priciest home in Trinidad was officially handed over to a new owner.
UrbanTurf has been following the story of this renovated six-bedroom home since it hit the market on January 31st. Listed for a record-breaking $926,500, the listing drew the attention of skeptics who couldn’t believe the home would find a buyer willing to pay the almost $1 million asking price. On Valentine’s Day, the price was reduced to $898,400. Five days later, it went under contract.
Though the first contract fell through, the home found a buyer again quickly, without being relisted.
So did the home fetch anywhere near $1 million? The buyer(s) ended up settling on a price of $926,000, but received a credit of $27,780 upon signing, bringing their total outlay to $898,220.
