The Leaning Row House of Shaw

A row house is leaning dangerously in Shaw, according to ABC 7 News, and residents are worried that the building may soon fall over if the city does not take action.
The TV station is reporting that the back part of the home is actually “pulling away” from the property and neighors believe that it could tip over any day now.
From ABC 7 News:
“The foundation basically has deteriorated,” said Ted Washington, one of those who live too close for comfort, as he examined the crumbling bricks at the home’s base. Washington believes the severe winter took a lot of out the structure and weakened it substantially. He worries it could collapse.
No address was provided in the piece (if anyone knows where this home is located, please let us know in the comments), but both neighbors and the news channel have reached out to DC’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs.
This is not the first time that fears have arisen regarding leaning buildings in the neighborhood. Back in the summer of 2005, InShaw reported that the property at 1427 5th Street was leaning precariously, and the City Paper subsequently did a story on it. From the looks of the address today (image via Google StreetView) that problem has been resolved.
