Eighty-five percent of the 247 residences at Turnberry Tower, the 26-story luxury condominium project in Rosslyn, have sold. The 35 remaining condos, ranging from one-bedrooms to four-bedrooms on the higher floors of the development, are in the final stage of a sales process that has moved briskly.
“In the last 20 months, we have done about $200 million in sales,” Turnberry’s Dan Riordan said. “The sales pace has been due to the quality of the units, the strength of the market in the area and a lack of luxury condo inventory.”
Furnished penthouse to be released later this month.
Located a block north of the Rosslyn Metro station (map), Turnberry caters to buyers who are accustomed to staying at four or five-star hotels, and expect that same type of service while at home. With private elevators, large outdoor spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor swimming pool with skylight, valet parking, 24-hour doorman and a concierge, it lives up to that billing. The mix of buyers has been pretty diverse — young professionals, empty nesters, wealthy buyers from overseas, and people with large homes that are looking to downsize.
Having already released six furnished models, Riordan said that the remaining models — two upper-floor penthouses — will be released in the next 30 days. The model pictured above is the K residence, a 4,500 square-foot four-bedroom penthouse with 1,000 square feet of additional terrace space. Since this model was completed a few months ago, the developer has sold four K penthouses at an average price of $4 million.

The floorplans for most Turnberry condos include an open kitchen leading into the living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an excellent layout for entertaining. The master bathrooms are larger than some studio apartments and feature dual sinks, marble flooring with matching marble vanity tops and frameless glass shower enclosures.
