Lobby at 1020 Monroe
1020 Monroe, one of Columbia Heights’ newest condominium projects, is down to its final units. Seventy percent pre-sold prior to its official grand opening earlier this month, the 28-unit development from Madison Investments has just five homes remaining.
Kitchen in unit at 1020 Monroe
Located at 11th and Monroe NW (map) at one end of what The New York Times christened DC’s “hip strip”, 1020 Monroe has units laid out over 4 floors. Combining urban living with style and comfort, the interior has the feel of a boutique hotel: residents enter into a traditional lobby that leads into transitional common areas and contemporary units all blending together effortlessly with the use of different wall coverings.
With the residences at 1020 Monroe, Madison Investments focused intently on creating floorplans where the kitchen, living space and bedroom married well with one another, while at the same time sparing little expense on finishes, including custom vanities, silestone thresholds and countertops, and high-efficiency HVAC systems that are tucked away to provide residents with more space.

“We feel like we are attracting the new generation of city dweller at 1020 Monroe,” Madison Investments’ Sia Madani said, noting that parking has been a non-issue at the development, an indication that buyers tend to be those who use their feet or a bicycle to get around. Residents also don’t have to go very far for a restaurant, as the ground-floor retail space will house the much-anticipated offering from restaurateur Constantine Stravropoulos of Tryst and Open City fame.
The remaining one-bedrooms start at $329,900 and two-bedrooms at $439,900. For more information, contact sales and marketing firm Urban Pace at 202-580-6015.
