A handful of private residences in the Capitol Riverfront are opening their doors to the public tomorrow as part of a home tour event organized by the neighborhood’s business improvement district. Called the FRONT Door Tour, the idea is to showcase the variety and types of housing available in the young neighborhood.
From the website:
“Explore a wide variety of unique homes, from renovated historic row houses to recently completed luxury condos, apartments and townhouses. See a variety of home decorating styles such as a Hollywood-style rowhouse interior, a boutique-hotel style apartment, and a renovated townhome with wood floors from Monticello.”
The home tour coincides with the free neighborhood walking tours that are happening as part of WalkingTown DC, the semi-annual weekend of neighborhood walking tours throughout the District. (More about WalkingTown DC here.) There will be two Capitol Riverfront tours, both on Saturday. One starts at 10:30am at the Navy Yard Metro station, and the second starts at 12:30pm at Canal Park at 2nd and M Streets, SE.
