Placemakr Cathedral Heights will operate 150 of the 689 residential units at the Upton Place development on a short-term stay basis that falls somewhere between a hotel and a traditional apartment. Studio, one- and two-bedroom units that include full kitchens and laundry will be available, with onsite staff and hospitality services included for tenants.
The Placemakr concept operates hotel units at residential buildings which have just delivered so that developers have a reliable stream of revenue while they are leasing apartments. Placemakr currently operates five other concepts at various buildings around DC.
