A graphic by RadPad shows the top amenities in Los Angeles, Chicago and DC.
The top amenities that millennials in DC are looking for in terms of a rental go hand in hand with common frustrations in the city: finding parking and washing dishes.
A study by RadPad ranked the most-desired amenities among renters based on the most commonly used search terms on the site. They found that parking, in-unit laundry and a dishwasher top the list nationally. RadPad also compared Los Angeles, Chicago and DC to see how the type of amenities that renters wanted varied from city to city. In DC, the top amenities are:

- Dishwasher
- Pool
- Parking
- Garage
- Stainless Steel
Most of these amenities make sense, however it was interesting to see stainless steel on the list, as DC was the only major city where this term made the top five. 43 percent of DC residents are likely to search for rentals with a pool, the highest percentage of the three cities analyzed.
RadPad analyzed millions of the tags prospective renters use when searching listings on their website to come up with these rankings.
