Practically every day there is more news about DC's bustling NoMA neighborhood. Just two weeks ago, a new REI store opened its doors to huge lines of customers. Details of a two-acre green space made for outdoor recreation were recently unveiled. A seven-screen movie theater is planned for the neighborhood. And rarely a day goes by without news of a restaurant or bar that is coming soon.
NoMA is 35 square blocks of development that includes 12.8 million square feet of office space, 4,800 residential units and 360,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and bars. NoMA is following in the footsteps of places like Mount Vernon Triangle as the next neighborhood to emerge in DC. As the city's growth pushes easterly, it helps that NoMA is nestled between the U.S. Capitol, Union Station and the H Street Corridor, and in close proximity to two Red Line Metro stations and protected bike lanes, as well as easy access to Route 50 and Interstate 395.
Within this burgeoning neighborhood, the Bush Companies offers The Lexicon, merging the best that a new condominium can offer in DC with the convenience and excitement of being located (map) in this trendy area.
The Lexicon's 182 one- and two-bedroom residences feature hardwood floors in all living areas and porcelain tile in the kitchen, baths and foyer. All of the homes include gourmet kitchens with gas cooking, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, baths with soaking tubs, and gas for efficient heat and hot water. Outdoor balconies or terraces and spacious walk-in closets are offered with nearly every unit.
Amenities at The Lexicon include a full-time on-site manager, a concierge service, a fully-equipped business center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a two-level cascading pool, a club room and complimentary bike storage. Three levels of underground garage parking ensure that all residents will have the opportunity to purchase a parking space and individual storage spaces are also available.
One-bedroom homes at The Lexicon start at $415,000 and two-bedroom homes start at $620,000. The sales gallery, located at 72 Florida Avenue NE, is officially open. Weekday appointments are available, and an open house is held every Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm. Pre-construction sales are underway, with the earliest move-in dates slated for late summer 2017. Future owners have the exclusive opportunity to hand select finishes and upgrades for their new homes.
