Nestled between Capitol Hill, NoMa and Ivy City, the H Street Corridor has evolved over the last decade into a vibrant neighborhood with a diverse restaurant scene, numerous entertainment venues and highly desirable real estate. Steps from the neighborhood’s beloved Atlas Theater, The Lucille, a luxury condominium in the middle of it all, is the latest addition to the scene.
The Lucille was brought to market by a standout team: S2 Development collaborated with Shawn Buehler of Bennett Frank McCarthy and design consultant Anna Kahoe of GoodWood—the creative team behind Huntress Coal Oil and The Highline. Together, they create luxury living with timeless, custom detail and old world charm.
The Lucille consists of nine residences with spacious two-bedroom plus den and three-bedroom, two-bath floorplans. Old-world features at The Lucille, including deep crown molding, brass fixtures and honey-toned maple cabinets, evoke DC’s architectural glory days. The kitchens feature custom bench-built cabinetry, gorgeous enamel blue Viking ranges, herringbone backsplashes, marble countertops and stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms are outfitted with craftsman laid tiles, soaking tubs and details like bullnose and pencil trim.
“I don’t know why buildings aren’t being built in this style, paying attention to real materials that have integrity and involving true crafts people,” says Anna Kahoe. “It’s been a pleasure to see this project come together. I know Washingtonians will appreciate how it feels to live like this.”
Many of the homes at The Lucille include balconies and have views of the Washington Monument and The Capitol. Residents have access to a community roof terrace with green space and grills, as well as a secure bike room.
Pricing for the homes starts at $799,000, and monthly fees are quite reasonable, at just over $150 per month. Parking is available for purchase.
The Lucille will have ground floor retail, but it is also just steps from Bullfrog Bagels, Whole Foods, Giant, Maketto, Sally's Middle Name, RedRocks pizza, Granville Moore’s, Toki Underground and much more.
