The Knutson Companies, along with the DC Mayor’s office, community members and future neighbors, recently celebrated the opening of the first rows of new garage townhomes at District Towns at St. Elizabeths East.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for this 88-home community signified more than just a symbolic opening of a building; it marked the first opportunity for homeownership in this historic neighborhood and a significant milestone in the ongoing redevelopment efforts of the community for the residents of Ward 8.
“As we welcome the first homeowners to their new homes with this ribbon cutting ceremony, we are tremendously proud to help shape St. Elizabeths' bright new future,” said Don Knutson, President of the Knutson Companies. “We at Knutson recognize the importance of the St. Elizabeths neighborhood to the greater DC community and are honored to be part of such a meaningful effort to bring more homeownership opportunities to the District.”
The excitement at District Towns at St. Elizabeths East continues this week with the opening of the new model home. Future homeowners can now preview the spacious Sycamore model, one of the new townhome designs for sale.
Each classic garage townhome boasts stunning, traditional exteriors and modern floorplans. Homeowners will be able to make their new home their own with rooftop terrace, main-level deck and home office options available. These stylish townhomes offer up to four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and two-car garages, with pricing from the mid $500s and low $600s.
St. Elizabeths East is a beautiful, walkable campus featuring Gateway Park and Pavilion, ample community green spaces and the Entertainment and Sports Arena, home of the Washington Mystics. Additional planned developments include a healthcare center and retail spaces. District Towns is also steps from the Congress Heights Metro and other local transportation options, allowing residents to easily access employment, entertainment and more throughout the DC region.
