Specifically, 1,544 homes sold in Northern Virginia in April compared with 1,455 in April 2008. In DC, 417 homes sold, an increase of 49 sales over the same month last year (368).
In DC, properties were spending almost two more weeks on the market than they were a year ago, but the median sale price dropped from $438,000 to $389,000.
