Amid the changing housing market, Zillow has released its latest Consumer Housing Trends report for buyers.
Below, UrbanTurf pulls out some of the more interesting stats pertaining to U.S. homebuyers in 2025:

- 39 — The median age of homebuyers.
- 35% -- The percentage of first-time buyers in 2025.
- 51% — The percentage of homebuyers who want a room for a home office.
- 56% — The percentage of homebuyers who wanted an electric stove.
- 59% — The percentage of homebuyers who have been looking for six months or longer.
- 27% -- The percentage of buyers who paid for a home without a mortgage.
Zillow surveyed over 18,000 homebuyers between March and September 2025.
