After a popular debut last year, The Hampshires—one of DC’s largest new communities in the Lamond Riggs neighborhood—is announcing the release of its final phase of homes.
Only five of the community’s 38 single-family homes (priced in the mid $700s) and 32 of The Hampshires’ 73 townhomes (starting at $479,900) remain on the market. Prospective buyers also have the chance to look at just two remaining phase-one townhomes, for immediate delivery.
For more information or to arrange to visit The Hampshires, call 202-499-5977 or visit the community online, here. The Hampshires is situated in the quiet, residential neighborhood of Lamond Riggs, and is within walking distance of two Metro stations: the Fort Totten Metro station to the south and the Takoma Park Metro station to the north, each within a mile from the community. Metrobus K6 stops directly in front of The Hampshires.
The Lamond Riggs neighborhood is sandwiched between Manor Park and the DC/Maryland border. It is known for its suburban feel with lots of long-time residents—some of whom first moved in 50+ years ago—and plenty of green space. Nearby shops include Giant Food, Shoprite and the boutique shops of Takoma Park.
This exclusive Hampshires community is built around a Village Green, featuring landscaped open space and a dog park. The Hampshires combines the convenience of upscale, urban living in a Metro accessible location with hard-to-find, private open space amenities.
The elegant, all brick single-family homes offer four bedrooms with a fifth first-floor bedroom option, three full baths and a powder room, and a total of 2,700 square feet of living space. Each home has a private two-car garage and a fenced in rear yard.
The homes also feature an opulent owner’s suite with French doors leading to a balcony; a gourmet kitchen with designer cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large eating and preparation island with pan drawers and trash cabinets and hardwood flooring; and a beautiful dining room (with butler’s pantry) with an oversized bay window and custom, built-in window seating. The spacious third floor retreat provides ample space for entertaining.
The award-winning brick townhomes—recipient of the 2013 Greater American Living Awards for architectural and interior design—feature three-bedrooms and range from approximately 1,800 to 1,950 square feet. Gourmet kitchens include large eating/preparation islands with pan drawers and trash cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a desk/work area and upgraded cabinets.
The townhomes’ open floor plans include generous room sizes and master suites that offer both spacious walk-in closets and luxurious master baths. The Devon model townhome has three levels and the Eaton model has a fourth story with a stunning rooftop terrace, loft and bedroom. Most homes offer a garage.
The Hampshires is located at 6000 New Hampshire Avenue NE (map) in the established Lamond Riggs/Takoma Park area of Washington, DC. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this unique community. For more information please call 202-499-5977 or visit the The Hampshires online, here.
