Construction on The Waverly at Clarendon Station, a 187-unit building at 1200 N. Irving Street (map), will start this summer, reported ARLnow Tuesday morning. Developed by ZOM Inc. and USAA Real Estate, the high-rise building will also have ground-floor retail.
According to ARLnow, the neighboring residents just received letters stating that construction will start within the next 30 to 45 days. The developers will be holding a community meeting next Monday at Lyon Village Community House to discuss the project.
Another large apartment complex, currently dubbed Parkland Garden, recently started construction in the neighborhood, reported the Washington Business Journal today. Parkland Gardens is 277-unit community at North Glebe Road and Lee Highway (map) from developers Archstone. The extensive complex will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and lofts and an outdoor amphitheater.
