It has been a long time coming, but The V at CityVista has finally sold. DCmud reports that Gables Residential out of Atlanta has purchased the 244-unit apartment complex for an undisclosed sum. The apartment portion of the Mount Vernon Triangle residential project has actually been on the market since CityVista opened its doors in late 2007.
At the end of June, we reported that the condo portion of the project that fills a full city block at K and 5th Streets NW had just two units left to sell. Thanks to ground-floor retail that includes a Safeway and a Busboy and Poets, the complex has become an anchor for the young Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood and one of the fastest selling condo projects in the city.
Studios at The V start at $1,725 a month; one-bedrooms at $1,960; and two-bedroom apartments at $2,499. The V website is now offering one month free rent and a 50 percent discount on parking for six months when a 12-month lease is signed.
