Central Place
After nearly two years of construction, one of the tallest buildings in Rosslyn, Virginia is opening to apartment dwellers today.
Sited at 1800 North Lynn Street (map), Central Place is a 31-story, one million square-foot mixed-use development adjacent to the Rosslyn Metro station, containing 377 apartments alongside a 30-story office tower.
The project, a joint venture between JBG and the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio and designed by Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Planners, also contains a 17,000 square-foot public plaza that can host community events and provides a pedestrian walkway between North Lynn and North Moore Streets. The plaza is framed by ground-floor retail and fast-casual restaurants. An observation deck offers unobstructed views of the National Mall.
