Welcome to Property Week, a week-long UrbanTurf series devoted to intriguing residential properties in the DC area and beyond. From a DC version of Wrigleyville to a Trinidad apartment building that will only offer five-bedroom apartments, this week is all about cool residences both near and far. Enjoy.
For some early week real estate eye candy, we take you you to Lake|Flato Architects-designed three-story lakeside retreat built into the hillside in Marble Falls, Texas.

The metal-framed home incorporates glass, wood paneling and corrugated metal to evoke a feel that is industrial and in tune with its surroundings. Walls of windows in many rooms of the home maximize views of the lake below.

Living room
The home also has several balconies, including two on either side of each bedroom.

A staircase built alongside the home gives a taste of the outdoors while providing access to all the home’s living areas and the four bedrooms on the lower two levels. Bridges provide access to the outdoors and dock space.
