New look for 315 H Street NE.
A residential project planned opposite the Giant grocery store on the west end of the H Street Corridor has revised its look slightly prior to going before the Zoning Commission next week.
The development at 315 H Street NE (map) from MRP Realty will include somewhere between 95 and 135 residential units . The new design for the six-story project increases the amount of brick on the south side of the building and makes the brick used on the upper residential floors a lighter color. The brick used at the base of the building is now “a heavily-textured, tumbled earthy red.” Hord Coplan Macht is the architect on the project.

The development will have about 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and provide 30 parking spots to residents. Zoning requires 50 spaces. The revised plans now include parking for 32 bicycles.
MRP is apparently mostly targeting single occupants for the apartments; the building’s unit mix is primarily studios and junior one-beds, with a handful of one- and two-beds mixed in.
