Earlier this year, Washington Property Company (WPC) announced to the community intentions to redevelop the site of the La Madeleine restaurant across the street from Bethesda Metro station. Now, we are getting a glimpse at the proposed design.
As reported by Robert Dyer, WPC met with the community on Thursday to share more details about the planned development at 7607 Old Georgetown Road (map), which will be a Solaire-branded property. A 225 foot-tall, 24-story tower would deliver up to 200 residential units atop up to 2,700 square feet of retail.

A sketch plan for the site was approved by the Montgomery County Planning Board earlier this year; WPC plans to file preliminary and site plans in the next few weeks. Construction could begin as early as next June for a June 2021 delivery.
