Above Asking: Paying a Premium in Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant and Brookland
In this edition of Above Asking, UrbanTurf looks at three homes that all sold for about $20,000 above the asking prices.

Over Asking in Adams Morgan
This Adams Morgan home sold for almost $20,000 over the listing price after going under contract in six days. The home features a split-level open living and dining room which flows into an updated kitchen with plenty of cabinetry space. There is additional living space just up a short flight of stairs. All three bedrooms are spacious and out back there is a brick terrace that can be converted into parking.

A $25,000 Premium For a Brookland Condo
This Brookland listing had the price tag and square footage of a one-bedroom unit in DC, but a room off the living area that could be used as a bedroom or as a nursery makes it a two-bedroom. Naturally, a bidding war ensued and the home ended up selling for $25,000 above its asking price.

This Mount Pleasant home unsurprisingly went under contract in six days. The four-bedroom features a lower-level apartment that can be rented out and a two-car garage. Inside, the home is renovated and although it has a traditional layout, it’s spacious and rather open. Although it has a separate dining room, the kitchen also has a pass-through window that can be used as a small breakfast bar. Outside, there is a patio and large deck.
