A Raze Application Paves Way For 116-Unit Triangular Building Off New York Avenue
A raze application has been filed with DC to make way for a large new residential building in NoMa.
The 14-story, 116-unit residential building will replace the three-story building at 7 New York Avenue NE (map), previously owned and occupied by Covenant House. Eric Colbert & Associates is the architect.

The unit mix will skew smaller at this development -- 66 of the units will be microunits averaging 410 square feet, and another 12 units will be "urban one bedrooms", averaging 519 square feet. The remainder of the units will be one-bedrooms with dens. The development will not include any vehicular parking, although there will be a ground-floor bicycle storage room.
