The first new condominiums at the re-imagined Walter Reed campus are about to celebrate their grand opening.
The Brooks is a collection of 89 elegantly-appointed one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums that will deliver in phase one of The Parks—a growing new community at the former site of the Walter Reed campus in DC. As the first for-sale property to debut there, The Brooks’ Grand Opening event will be the earliest opportunity to explore the historic charm and bucolic beauty of the 66-acre campus.
The Grand Opening will be held on May 7th from 6pm to 8pm at Walter Reed’s Great Lawn. To RSVP, visit The Brooks online here. Pricing for the new residences will start in the low $400s.
The Walter Reed campus is home to many historic buildings, and The Brooks was designed to fit in with that aesthetic—at least from the outside. The exterior has a traditional look, with a red brick façade and concrete casting, while the building’s interiors are entirely modern.
Features and fixtures in the new condos include hardwood floors, shaker style kitchen cabinetry, Bosch stainless steel appliances, porcelain tile backsplashes and Kohler faucets. The residences boast plenty of windows and natural light, and many of the units feature balconies with views of 20 acres of landscaped green spaces including an Arts Park, dog park, Great Lawn and Officer’s Walk.
The Parks is located in the heart of upper Northwest DC and will include 190,000 square feet of retail and 20,000 square feet of creative and cultural space. Once The Parks is completed, the Great Lawn will also be home to a variety of outdoor concerts and fitness classes, and a farmers’ market.
Residents of The Brooks will enjoy a beautiful lobby and roof deck as well as one year of complimentary access to all of the amenities at neighboring The Vale apartments, including a fitness center, yoga studio, co-working space, pet spa and stunning saltwater pool with cabanas. Parking is available at The Brooks as well.
Sales are by Urban Pace and sales appointments begin on May 8th at The Brooks sales gallery—located at Walter Reed’s historic General’s Mansion (map)—where prospective residents can virtually experience every unit of the building, adjust color palettes, and even change time of day as they tour. Delivery of The Brooks is slated for summer 2020 and pricing starts in the low $400s.
