87-Unit Apartment Project Planned For One of Anacostia's Main Drags

A large apartment project is in the works along one of Anacostia's main thoroughfares.
Dilan Investments has filed plans with DC's Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) for a four-story plus cellar mixed-use building at 1605-1607 Good Hope Road SE (map). The development, designed by Teass\Warren Architects, will have 87 apartments and 1,200 square feet of retail and will adhere to Inclusionary Zoning requirements.

"This project will be pursuing LEED certification," a letter from the architect stated. "The level of certification is yet to be determined at this time. The roof will include areas of green roof and photovoltaic panels."
