30-Year Mortgage Rates Remain In Familiar Territory

Long-term mortgage rates remained in familiar territory this week. 

On Thursday, Freddie Mac reported 6.66% on 30-year rates, up 1 basis point from last week. Since late May, the 30-year fixed rate has remain wedged between 6.5% and 6.7%.

“The economy remains resilient, demonstrated by steady consumer spending and rising household incomes," Freddie Mac chief economist Sam Khater stated. "More homes coming on the market and slower price growth in many areas are giving buyers better options and helping create a more balanced housing market.”
