More residential development at The Parks at Walter Reed is moving forward.
Today, developers Hines, Urban Atlantic and Triden Development Group announced that they have closed on the property for Kite House (formerly known as Building O), which would front the central lawn at the redevelopment of Walter Reed off 12th Street NW (map). The unit mix will span one- to three-bedrooms; nine of the units will be affordable. There will also be 11,000 square feet of retail, and residential amenities will include coworking space and an indoor/outdoor lounge. Hickok Cole is the architect and STUDIOS furnished the interior design; Urban Pace will administer unit sales. Grosvenor Americas is also a financial partner.
Another 60-unit co-living building (formerly known as Building P) with 21,000 square feet of retail is also expected to break ground next month at 1155 Dahlia Street NW (map).
