This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looks in the $2,500-a-month range to see what choices are out there for prospective renters in the DC area with this monthly budget.
A Two-Bedroom Apartment in Columbia Heights
This two-bedroom in a small Columbia Heights building comes with an important perk for roommates: Two bathrooms. As our feature this week shows, $2,500 can get a DC renter into the two-bedroom range, but often rentals have just one or maybe 1.5 bathrooms. The two-level unit has the bedrooms upstairs and the living space on a lower floor, plus a small balcony with room for a small table and a couple of plants.

A Two-Bedroom Rowhouse in the H Street Corridor
This two-bedroom sits on Wylie Street, a one-way, one-block street close to all the action on H that was featured in UrbanTurf’s Hidden Places last year. The home has a narrow first floor with a back patio and two high-ceilinged bedrooms upstairs. It is also the lowest priced listing we featured today.

A Luxe Rental in Navy Yard
For renters willing to stretch the $2,500 budget, about $2,700 a month will put you into a luxury building just off the Navy Yard Metro, with a palatial bathroom and a loft-like living space with new appliances. This unit in Bozzuto’s Onyx on First is a couple of blocks away from the ballpark just in time for baseball season. There’s a gym, a rooftop pool and a 24-hour front desk.
