In this installment of Under Contract, we look at a few Columbia Heights properties featured on UrbanTurf that recently went under contract.
Deal of the Week: BBQing in Columbia Heights
We featured this two-bedroom condo as our Deal of the Week last week, and it went under contract soon after. We joked that now that the temperature has returned to a reasonable summer level, the huge outdoor patio for this unit would entice buyers. In addition to the patio (where the grill and patio furniture conveyed), the unit has a big open living room with full-size windows, a master bedroom with windows facing the private terrace, and a secure, off-street parking space.

What $285K Buys You: Roof Access in Columbia Heights
It took awhile (and a price reduction), but this one-bedroom unit that we featured in mid-June in our What X Buys You feature has found a buyer to take advantage of one of the most sought-after amenities for buyers in the city: a roof deck. At 550 square feet, the condo is not very large, but the building is pet-friendly, has low monthly condo fees and is about a five-minute walk from the Columbia Heights Metro. Along with a $10K price reduction a few weeks ago, the deck on the roof may be what sold the buyer, as it will serve as a good place to invite friends when the unit gets too cramped.

- Price: $274,900
- Bedrooms: One
- Bathrooms: One
- Square Footage: 550
- Days on Market: 49 days
