This Week’s Find is a five-bedroom contemporary home in The Palisades designed and owned by architect Rula Jawfat.

The 24-foot ceilings in living room

Light was Jawfat’s main focus when designing the house which has Southern exposures and large open, airy spaces conducive to letting in light. The main level has a living room with 24-foot ceilings and a fireplace, an eat-in kitchen, and a separate dining room. The first-floor bedroom can also be used as a home office, and on the top floor there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchenette that could conceivably double as an in-law suite. On the roof is an expansive deck with views of the woods that surround the property. More details and photos below.
