This Week’s Find is a secluded property in Bethesda with a design that certainly makes it stand out from the neighborhood's more traditional housing stock.
The house was designed by locally-renowned architect David Jameson, who is known for homes with dramatic glass attributes and cube-shaped features. This property is no exception to his signature style.

A callback to its nickname, Black & White House, black metal frames throughout the interior contrast with the stark white walls. Lofty rooms with glass walls and skylights offer year-round natural light, along with views of the surrounding forest.
The main level features a large open space that could be used for any number of purposes, as well as a formal dining area, a sunken living room, a bedroom and a mudroom with an attached three-car garage. The open kitchen features two stainless steel islands and dark brown custom wood cabinetry.
The majority of the bedrooms are located upstairs and wine connoisseurs will be able to take advantage of a temperature-controlled wine cellar in the basement. There is also a recreation room and flex space, currently staged as a recording studio.
The yard is fully landscaped with minimalist shrubbery and open grassy spaces. After construction in 2007, this is the first time the home is up for sale, according to the listing agents. For more details, see below.
