Not only does Masjid Muhammad have plans to build affordable housing in Anacostia, the organization is also seeking to expand its Truxton Circle home.
Masjid Muhammad has applied to expand its mosque at 1519 4th Street NW (map). The proposed infill addition would be three stories above-ground and two below, sitting at 49.5 feet tall with an architectural apex reaching the RF-1 zone maximum height of 60 feet. The addition would enable the organization to expand its offices, classroom and kitchen space.
