The recent re-naming of the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station (from New York Avenue) marks an important milestone for the NoMa neighborhood. It’s now a destination, not just a street. Adding to its established office market, NoMa residents have a Harris Teeter, and new restaurants and residences sprout up daily.

On NoMa’s southern border, the H Street Corridor is a dynamic neighborhood drawing new residents. Ellisdale intends to change that with Aria, a project currently underway at 300 L Street NE (map). Located just two blocks from the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro, Aria features 60 apartment homes with high-end finishes and abundant outdoor space. The ground level of this pet-friendly building is bordered by a large, grassy lawn. To save on in-apartment space, Aria’s garage has secure storage for 40 bicycles.

One-bedroom apartments, averaging 600 square feet, make up eighty percent of the homes in the luxury building. The remaining twenty percent are two-bedrooms averaging 950 square feet. Apartment finishes will include hardwood floors from Good Stewardship Forestry, stainless steel appliances, Silestone countertops, and European finishes like two-tone cabinets made of white enamel and Tigerwood. These brand new apartments are competitively priced with appealing incentives for those looking to lease quickly. WC Smith will begin pre-leasing Aria this October, with anticipated move-ins starting in December.

Those who value outdoor space will love that each apartment home has at least one, if not two, balconies—and the building has lots of additional outdoor common space. Aria residents can see all of the monuments, and watch fireworks on the Fourth of July, from the common area deck attached to the 6th floor resident bar and lounge. The 1,000 square foot lounge, where each residence has their own beverage locker, will be the hub of sponsored resident social events. It can also be reserved for private affairs.
