Is there any more room at the Gangplank Marina?
Made to sit on waterfronts, Port X is a floating modular space that blends the simplicity of flexible, prefabricated housing with high design. The units can sit on water or on land, with a closed-in area on one side to prevent nosy landlubbers from ruining the oasis. But on the waterfront, big windows turn the river into a backyard.

“It floats on water. It stands on the ground,” explain its architects, Jerry Koza and Adam Jirkal, on the project’s website. “It’s a house. It’s a houseboat. It’s an original piece of tech design combining wood, laminate and curves.”
Perhaps the multibillion-dollar Wharf redevelopment project has room for a few of these high-design modular spaces.

The floating exhibition has moved locations from Prague to a couple of other Czech Republic cities. Its creators at Atelier SAD hope to perfect the units’ modular construction method so they can begin production, CoolHunting reports.
