District Towns at St. Elizabeths East was met with strong interest when it opened for sales earlier this year and its first phase of homesites has officially sold out. With construction underway, the new owners are preparing to make this community of 88 garage townhomes steps from Congress Heights Metro their new home. The excitement continues to build as the second phase of homesites is set to release for sale in a few weeks.
Launched in conjunction with the DC Mayor’s office, District Towns at St. Elizabeths East is one of the ongoing redevelopment efforts for this rapidly growing local area and the first opportunity for many to build wealth through homeownership. To nurture this transition, a Homebuyers Club has been established as a resource for first-time homeowners and 27 of the townhomes are designated as affordable residences.
Residents of District Towns will be able to easily enjoy the walkable destinations available within the St. Elizabeths East neighborhood, including Gateway Park and Pavilion and the Entertainment and Sports Arena. Plus, there are wide open green spaces available throughout and new exciting developments including over 250,000 square feet of office and retail space underway.
District Towns has been thoughtfully designed to perfectly fit the St. Elizabeths East neighborhood. All of the building exteriors are classic brick, which suit the existing streetscapes and offer both a strong and inviting first impression.
Two new townhome designs—the Cypress and the Sycamore—were created by the Knutson Companies specifically for this neighborhood. Featured highlights include up to four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and a two-car garage. There are also options available for personalization, including a loft, main level deck and rooftop terrace. These residences are selling from the mid $500,000s and lower $600,000s.
“We can’t wait to complete construction and welcome residents to their new homes,” says Don Knutson, President of the Knutson Companies. “We’re excited to be releasing the second phase of our homes for sale here at St. Elizabeths East in a few weeks.”
