A Little Bit of Wrigleyville for DC?
Developer Altus Realty Partners is planning to build 140 to 200 units at 1319 South Capitol Street SW (map), a site adjacent to Nationals Park.
However, the project, reported on recently by The Little Quadrant that Could, could change both in scope and design before it is submitted to the Zoning Commission in the coming weeks.
As it stands now, the proposed building, designed by PGN Architects, would rise 11 stories. The project should become more firmly defined over the next few weeks.
UrbanTurf has learned that the new project may have an amenity that not many other buildings in the city can boast: a view into the stadium from the roof deck. It is unclear if much more than the scoreboard would be visible, but this would be one nice bonus for the apartment hunting Nats fan.
We hope to have a rendering of the game day vantage point in the coming weeks.
