AirBnB and Realtor.com Partner to Allow Buyers to Test Drive Neighborhoods

A new service for potential homebuyers is designed to help acclimate them to a neighborhood before making one of the biggest financial decisions of their life.
Realtor.com, the large online real estate listing database, and AirBnB have partnered to give prospective buyers the opportunity to stay in the neighborhoods where they’re considering buying a home.

Visitors to Realtor.com will soon be presented with an option to “AirBnB before buying.” By choosing this option, those on the hunt will be given a few Airbnb options in the neighborhood that they can book right from the site.
“As we offer a variety of unique accommodations in neighborhoods across the country, we’ll be able to allow potential homeowners the special opportunity to experience those neighborhoods as if they already live there – before making the decision to buy,” Chip Conley, head of global hospitality and strategy at AirBnB, said.
