$2,500 Above Asking in Forest Glen
Over in the Forest Estates area of Forest Glen, this three-bedroom Cape Cod sold for $2,500 above asking price, remaining a bargain compared to DC's condo stock. The front lawn slopes upward toward the house, which has a patio-like porch and enters into a wide living room. To the left, two bedrooms with double exposure share a full bath, while on the opposite end of the living room, a double-wide doorway leads into the dining room. A one-wall kitchen sits in the adjacent room and a door here leads to a spacious screened-in porch facing the expansive backyard. The owner's bedroom lies under a cove ceiling on the upstairs level and has closets on two walls. The large basement rec room has a set of inset cabinets and houses the half-bath, along with a separate storage and laundry room.

A door to the side yard sits between the living area and dining area, and the kitchen beyond has a Quartzite waterfall island and waterfall countertop with a panel-concealed refrigerator, as well as glass french doors that open onto the fenced-in slate rear patio.
